THE BIG PICTURE

About this course

Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) is an advanced Scrum Master certification awarded by Scrum.org. It recognises the ability to apply Scrum principles and values in complex, real-world situations and to support teams and organisations effectively. Across four days, you explore advanced facilitation, coaching, team self-management, organisational impediments, stakeholder engagement, and flow-based delivery. You will analyse scenarios, run structured exercises, and practise decision-making with peers, linking each technique to your own work. You will create artefacts such as facilitation plans, impediment backlogs, and flow experiments, and receive feedback. The PSM II assessment is purchased and taken online through Scrum.org without the need to attend a course. It is time-limited and scenario-oriented, and Scrum.org certifications do not expire. Check the current Scrum.org page for the latest exam structure and policies. Scrum.org owns the certification scheme. MindClick provides training and exam preparation and is not an accredited or authorised partner.

What you’ll learn

  • Facilitate Scrum events with clear outcomes, appropriate formats, and respectful challenge
  • Diagnose Scrum anti-patterns and select responses aligned to empiricism and Scrum values
  • Coach Product Owners, Developers, and stakeholders to improve collaboration and accountability
  • Build and maintain an impediment backlog and design interventions that address root causes
  • Use flow-oriented measures (e.g., cycle time, throughput) to guide incremental improvements
  • Navigate multi-team coordination and scaling trade-offs while preserving Scrum’s intent
  • Apply effective Scrum Master stances in complex, high-stakes scenarios and explain reasoning
  • Prepare a focused study plan and practise exam-style questions for the PSM II assessment
