About this course

Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) is a certification from Scrum.org that evidences understanding of product ownership within the Scrum framework and the ability to apply value-driven thinking. Across two days you explore Product Owner accountability, product goals, stakeholder engagement, value measurement, backlog ordering and refinement, and empirical planning. You will work through realistic scenarios, short facilitation tasks and group critiques, and apply techniques to your own product context. The assessment is taken online via Scrum.org and contains 80 questions to be completed in 60 minutes, with a passing score of 85%. No course attendance is required to sit the assessment, and the certification does not expire. Scrum.org owns the certification scheme. Put it into practice

Teams choose a product, craft a Product Goal, draft 10–15 Product Backlog Items, and order them using value and risk heuristics. They refine two items to acceptance criteria and Definition of Done alignment.

Put it into practice

Using the Day 1 product, participants select EBM goals and key measures, then build a simple forecast for near-term delivery based on transparent assumptions. They discuss how to adapt the plan as evidence emerges.
